Description
Domestic resource mobilization emerged as a priority during the Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development in July 2025. Many countries increasingly view raising money at home as a necessary and pragmatic response to shrinking aid budgets and high debt burdens. Mining can be an important contributor to domestic resource mobilization. This session will focus on how governments can craft fiscal regimes to maximize revenue throughout the value chain through well-designed taxes, royalties, and other policy innovations to support their development goals.
