Description

This session, organized by Catalyste+ and BRIMM, is a participatory learning activity based upon a fictitious mining project preparing for closure. The activity introduces participants to the complexities mining projects face at closure and uses consensus building activities to secure a wide range of participant perspectives to rank closure planning priorities. The workshop explores the shift from extraction to value creation at a time in the life of a mine that traditionally meant an end to value. Participants will explore critical questions for effective mine closure.
