Lina Beatriz Franco Idarraga served as an advisor at the Ministry of Mines and Energy and the National Hydrocarbons Agency. Prior to becoming President, Lina Franco has seven years of experience at the ANM, holding various positions, including the position of Monitoring and Control Manager of the Vice Presidency of Monitoring, Control, and Mining Safety.

Her professional career has included, among other positions, advisor to the Ministries of Commerce, Industry and Tourism, and Transportation. She has also served in various national and regional entities such as Colciencias, the Colombian Geological Survey, and the Tolima Regional Autonomous Corporation.
