Andrew Viola is a Senior Advisor, Taxation of Extractive Industries in the Centre for Tax Policy and Administration, Tax Treaty, Transfer Pricing and Financial Transactions Division at the OECD. He leads the OECD’s work in the taxation of the extractive sector with extensive experience in assessing transfer pricing risks and international taxation related to the energy and resources sector, related party financing, mineral pricing and marketing and trading hubs. Prior to joining the OECD, Andrew has well over a decade of experience in the public sector working as an international tax expert focusing on the extractive sector at the Australian Taxation Office, working on significant transfer pricing audits, Advanced Pricing Arrangements and broader strategic policy considerations.
