Daniel is a Deputy Director in Natural Resources Canada leading on minerals sector multilateral affairs. His team is advancing Canadian positions through the Canadian Critical Minerals Strategy and a range of multilateral and plurilateral fora, including the G7 and G20, the IEA and OECD, the IGF and the World Bank. Daniel previously held the role of senior advisor for sectoral trade and investment policy and has worked with the World Bank on artisanal and small-scale mining issues in Niger. Daniel holds a master's degree in economics and a bachelor's degree in economics and international development from the University of Ottawa.
