Frédéric Chenais is Senior Policy Advisor at the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (FDFA), where he is responsible for commodities, security and human-rights issues. He represents Switzerland on the Steering Committee of the Voluntary Principles on Security and Human Rights Initiative and chairs the Board of the International Code of Conduct Association for private-security providers. Previously, he served as Principal Advisor on community relations for Rio Tinto’s Simandou project and headed missions for International Organization for Migration in Guinea, Turkmenistan and Tajikistan.
