Mainga is the Chief Investments Officer at Industrial Development Corporation (IDC), a position he has held since March 2024. IDC’s mandate is to spearhead the Zambian Government's commercial investments agenda aimed at strengthening Zambia's industrial base and job creation. Key sectors for IDC, drawn from Zambia's 8th National Development Plan, include mining, agriculture, energy, manufacturing and tourism. Mainga has over 30 years of experience in investment and corporate finance across Africa, mainly focused on development finance and private equity in Eastern and Southern Africa. He sits on boards in Zambia and has held positions in leading regional and global financial institutions.
