Laura directs the Shaping Sustainable Markets Group at IIED. She works on responsible and inclusive business and finance and the contribution of the private sector to addressing the climate and biodiversity crises. Laura has undertaken research and policy work on sustainable business and trade, making markets work for the poorest and most recently on the potential for debt for climate and nature swaps across Africa and South Asia. She has produced a wide range of publications from academic papers to policy briefs and blogs. She holds a Masters in International Development and Social Change from Clark University, Massachusetts, USA.
