Ana Toni, PhD, Executive Director of iCS
Ana Toni is the Executive Director of Instituto Clima e Sociedade (iCS). Between 2003 and 2011, Ana was Director of the Ford Foundation in Brazil, having worked and managed the areas of human rights, sustainable development, media democratization and racial and ethical discrimination. At the Ford Foundation, she was responsible for coordinating Latin America's regional financing in Economics and Globalization, as well as the IBSA Initiative and the International Intellectual Property Rights Initiative.

Ana had a long career at Greenpeace, where she initially worked as a Director of the Policy Unit at Greenpeace International (1993-1995), and later, as Senior Advisor at Greenpeace Germany. She was Chairman of the Board of Greenpeace Brazil from 2000 to 2004, and Chairman of the Board of Greenpeace International from 2011 to 2017.

From 1998 to 2002, Ana also served as Executive Director of ActionAid Brasil. In the organization, he worked on projects aimed at eradicating poverty and inequality, promoting community development initiatives, as well as projects for access to justice through public policies, and campaigns at national and international level. She worked at ActionAid UK (1991-1993) as Policy Advisor for the organization, representing the organization at the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development (ECO-92 / RIO-92).

She was a member of the board of GIFE, Baobá Fund for Racial Equity and Society and Wikimedia Foundation, among others. He is currently a member of the boards of the Gold Standard Foundation, Instituto República, Transparency International - Brazil, and the Instituto Pesquisa Ambiental da Amazônia - IPAM.

Ana holds a doctorate in Political Science from the State University of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ), a master's degree in World Economic Policy from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and a degree in Economics and Social Studies from Swansea University.
