Bio
Born in 1968, in Tashkent. Graduated from Tashkent State University, Uzbekistan (1985-1992) and studied at the International cotton school, Memphis TN, USA (1993) and Russian Foreign Trade Academy, Moscow, (1995-1997).
Work experience started in 1992 at the State Foreign Trade Company “Uzprommashimpeks” (export operations with the particular focus on cotton and textile products) under the Ministry for Foreign Economic Relation.
International experience in cotton trade got while working for more than 2 years as Director of Uzbek-Swiss Marketing company “UZDUN A.G.” in Geneva, Switzerland (1997-1999).
On return held various leading positions at the Ministry for Foreign Economic Relation and the Cabinet of Ministries of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Served twice in a diplomatic position: first, as Commercial Counselor at the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan to BENELUX countries and Mission to the European Communities, Brussels, Belgium (2001-2004), then as Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Ukraine (2006-2009).
Since 2009, working as Chairman at Uzbekistan Textile and Garment Industry “Uzbektextileprom” (state company transformed to association). During this period annual export in the industry has grown 10 times to $ 3,0 billion by end of 2021 and 100% of Uzbek cotton start to be processed locally.
In January 2021 was elected as Chairman of Uzbekistan Employers Confederation.
Married, has son and two daughters.
