Dr. Fareeha Armughan is a Research Fellow & Lead-‘Center of Evidence Action Research’ at Sustainable Development Policy Institute (SDPI), a leading policy research institute & Think-Tank of Pakistan & South Asia.
Dr. Fareeha Armughan is a PhD Economics, specializing in Financial Inclusion. Her core areas of research are Financial Inclusion, Trade, Evidence, Education and Social Protection. Professionally she has 14 years of work experience, where for 7 years she worked in the financial and Corporate sector. She also worked in public sector, managed a Public Sector Development Project (PSDP) where she gained exposure to policy making.
Dr. Fareeha is also a trainer of BCURE (Building Capacity Using Research Evidence), a program of Evidence for Policy Design (EPoD), J.F. Kennedy School of Public Policy and teaches multiple modules of Evidence-based policy to all tiers of Civil Services of Pakistan. She recently completed The Public Policy & Leadership Credential conducted by the Faculty of Harvard – Kennedy School of Government. She is also Visiting Faculty of Economics & Finance at number of Universities in Islamabad, Pakistan. In terms of research, she has done studies for Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, ODI-UK, Ed-Tech Hub and currently Consultant-Crisis Resilient Social Protection Program (CRISP), World Bank D.C.
