Bio
Dr A. Didar Singh, author and Experienced Civil Servant (IAS Retd) and former Secretary General FICCI with a demonstrated history of working in both government and industry. Skilled in Public Policy, Government administration, Strategic Planning, and Management. Strong business development professional with a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) focused on E-Commerce from Panjab University; Dev Admin from Birmingham University, UK; and Pol Philosophy and History from St. Stephens College, Delhi. Expert in Migration and Diaspora studies. Policy analyst and mentor. Former Sr Fellow Delhi Policy Group and now Adviser Bridge India, London and India Migration Now, Mumbai.
Dr Singh also functions as Chair of the Diaspora group of KNOMAD (Knowledge Network on Migration), of the World Bank and in 2017 was named as Global Fellow at IC2 Institute of the University of Texas at Austin, USA. He was also a Commissioner of the ILOs ‘Global Commission on the Future of Work’ (2017-19).
Dr. Singh has four books and several publications to his credit and has given talks and lectures in over 30 institutions and countries around the world.
