With over 20 years of experience in the public sector, Ortega Galvis has held various positions, including Co-founder and Coordinator of the Regional Pedagogy Program at the Colombian Association of Energy Geologists and Geophysicists (ACGGP). He has served as Geology and Geophysics Lead at Las Quinchas Resource, a consulting firm specializing in environmental law with an emphasis on biodiversity, and as Hydrocarbon Exploration Lead and geological support for reservoirs at Ecopetrol's Exploration Vice Presidency. He has also worked as a consultant in Energy, Pedagogy, Corporate Social Responsibility, and conflict resolution, and as an advisor to the management of the Bogotá Water and Sewerage Company.
