Dr. André Xavier is a Senior Manager at Catalyste+, a Canadian non-profit organization with a 50-year legacy of promoting sustainable, locally driven development. His work covers Canada and international settings, focusing on governance, economic growth, and sustainability in the natural resources sector. He is also an Honorary Professor at the University of British Columbia’s Norman B. Keevil Institute of Mining Engineering, where he teaches mine closure and socio-economic transition through the Bradshaw Research Initiative for Minerals and Mining (BRIMM). Dr. Xavier holds a Ph.D. in Mining Engineering from UBC and a Master’s in Business Administration, combining technical expertise and strategic insight to foster meaningful partnerships and sustainable outcomes.
